Accelerated Performance Coaching (APC) Team
Think of your
favorite athlete. Maybe it’s Michael Jordan. Maybe it’s someone in
another sport, like gymnastics or track. Whomever you choose, ask
yourself this question: “Would this athlete ever think of competing
without a coach?” Absolutely not!
Why then, when
competition in the business world is so strong, do many professionals
choose to face it without a coach?
Once we get onto
the playing field, many of us don’t know where we are – or where we are
going. A coach helps you to see the big picture, to evaluate your
performance, and to help you break free of a slump and raise your game
to the next level.
What kinds of
things prevent you from doing your best? Typical blind spots may
include procrastination, insensitivity to others, blaming instead of
taking responsibility, failing to listen, inability to adapt to new
situations or inconsistent behavior, low standards, lack of boundaries,
unresolved problems, lack of reserves, or inadequate skills. These can
all be resolved with the help of a skilled coach.
Change doesn’t
occur through feedback alone. You have to be willing to put forth the
effort to change. Behavior change comes only after constructing new
mental models, new descriptions of purpose and meaning. Then practice,
practice, and practice until new habits are formed over the old.
People hire a
coach because they want more, they want to grow, and they want it
easier. A coach can help them get all three – quickly.
The APC Team are
“change partners” for those who refuse to stand still. Thank you for
joining our team and allowing us to support you to greatness. |
